Denver Startup Week is back! Showcasing innovation in Denver this September 28 - October 2, and promising to be bigger than ever in its fourth iteration.

 

Mark Scheel will be speaking for a fourth year. Last year he flew in Cecilia Abadie of Daily Show fame for a Google Glass panel featuring Kelly Shuster and Hussain Chinoy. This year the topic will be Virtual Reality.

 

"I have been excited about Virtual Reality since the late 1990's and I think its time is really close to arriving with incredible hardware advances and significant investments from lots of companies like Google, Facebook via Oculus Rift and HTC. One of the most exciting things is how accessible development has become with low cost devices that build upon the ubiquity of smartphones. I don't know exactly what surprises I'll have in store this fall yet, but I know I will lean on my network of friends and colleagues and put together a fun, inspiring and educational 90 minute session." said Mark Scheel, president of Digital Construction.

 

This event is not yet scheduled but will be this Fall in Denver, Colorado.

 

Update: The talk will be Monday September 28, 2015 and is titled Virtual Reality 101 (and there are indeed incredible surprises in store)

 

 

Keep an eye out for an exciting October event. Mark is working on an educational, family experience that will (fingers crossed) involve one of our region's more famous startups, and one that will be incredibly famous this holiday season (if the force is strong)!
