June 1, 2014 -

Mark Scheel, president of Digital Construction and now author of Software Development for Google Glass has published Software Development for Google Glass, a 154 page book available at Amazon, described here:

Software Development for Google Glass is chock full of the information you need to become a proficient Glassware developer.  It covers how to design, build and distribute Glassware.  With an encyclopedia of information about the history and current state of the Google Glass explorer program and five software projects documented with code and pictures, it is the definitive resource for Glass development and programming Google Glass.
This printing is code tested against XE17 and has XE17 specific updates.

This book will be supported by Digital Construction at this mini-site, where you can get more information about the book and learn about book signings, talks, and more.

"I've been very happy with how the book has been received, there seems to be a real need for timely, quality documentation for new Glassware developers" said President of Digital Construction Mark Scheel.

Update - June 18, 2014

Feedback has been great, a Glass developer in Pennsylvania working on industrial applications of Glass for a warehouse workplace using XE18 sent this unsolicited feedback:

... "wanted to send a huge thanks for your google glass software development guide. It has been a life saver on a project I've been working on" ... "I had been watching some tutorial YouTube videos but found them frustrating and inaccurate mostly. I found your book on Amazon just searching for the most recent edition, as many of the other books were outdated already." (Nicole)

Mark will be at Boulder Android, speaking about Google Glass and his new book on Thursday June 19, 2014 and Google I/O in San Francisco, CA (with appearances at Google I/O Extended) June 25-26, 2014. Will you be at these events? Say hello!!
