November 1, 2012 - Hack-cation

November 1, 2012 - Mark Scheel of Digital Construction Inc. took a quick hack-cation to the bay area recently. He did a ten mile trail run north of the Golden Gate Bridge, through Muir Woods, spent time at the Startup House, and participated in a hackathon put on by Boulder, CO based Orbotix (Sphero) at the San Francisco office of Rackspace.

"A Hack-cation is a trip made with the intention of getting in some vacation and getting in some hacking. I left Denver on a Friday afternoon for San Francisco and came back Monday morning. I had an ambitious agenda, there were friends and babies and houses to see, landmarks to enjoy, exercise to complete and a programming contest to enter, it was what I call a hack-cation." explained Mark Scheel, president of Digital Construction.

Mark provided these pictures of his trail run. The panoramic photograph captured with his Android device shows a Pacific Ocean sunset on the right and the city of San Francisco on the left (photo taken NorthWest of the city).
