April 1, 2012 - We have been working with a client in Aspen, CO for almost a year now, which has been incredibly exciting (especially since we love the mountains so much!). This month we did a major release of four production applications for this client, including one of the neatest Android projects we have worked on to date.

We have built an App Creator, with the help of a very talented Web/Front End expert, that allows anyone to create an Android App. The UI creates a JSON file that is consumed by a code generation framework on an Ubuntu server that creates a complete Android project, customized with graphics, content and other dynamic elements. Then a headless Android build system creates an APK (an Android executable) on the fly and in under a minute you have a customized Android application you can run on your phone.

I am so glad I was a part of it, and am really proud of the work we did. And being in Aspen, although the skiing has not been great, has been a wonderful experience, the food and arts are like nothing I have previously experienced." said Mark Scheel, President of Digital Construction.
