December 1, 2011 - Android 4.0 Lab Open (Ice Cream Sandwich) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

December 1, 2011 - Digital Construction is excited to open an Ice Cream Sandwich Lab with the succesful importation of the world's first Android 4.0 device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This Pentaband device from England is compatible with our GSM cellular service provider in the US and we have ported several apps to it with success.

"For a few weeks we have had an emulator and new SDK for Android 4.0 but now that we have a physical device we can really get familiar with developing for this exciting new platform. We have a long history of investing in cutting edge devices, our team has more than 10 Android devices we use for testing with every project release. We have had many products before they were officially available in America including the first Cupcake device, the first 4G Android device, the first Samsung Honeycomb device, the first Google TV device running Honeycomb. All before they were made available to the general public. Our investments in the Android community strengthen our ability to help our customers. And on a personal note, this phone is really awesome. The camera features are amazing, from Panorama pictures to time lapse pictures to instant photo capturing, its the best smart phone camera software I have ever seen. Multi-tasking is great, the screen is beautiful, the developer features are amazing, and the phone is amazingly light. Even though it is larger than a Galaxy SII, it feels smaller somehow in my hand. I love this device." said Mark Scheel.
